Directions
to the Voorhees Chapel and Rutgers Gardens Log Cabin from the New Jersey Turnpike
TO CEREMONY PARKING (CO-OP PARKING
DECK)
Take the Turnpike to Exit 9 and stay right after the toll to
Route 18 North toward New Brunswick.
Follow Route 18 for approx. one mile, staying to the right (local lanes) when
the highway splits into express and local. Almost immediately following the
split, turn left at the traffic light onto Route 172 toward Rutgers
University/Douglass Campus. Go through the light and turn right at the circle
onto George Street. You will travel under a pedestrian bridge, and arrive at a
light at Nichol Avenue. Turn left at that light (CHAPEL IS TO YOUR RIGHT), and
take the first left to get to
the parking deck. Entrance is on the left.
To get to the chapel, walk back out to Nichol Avenue and turn right, toward
George Street. Cross George, staying on Nichol (which becomes Chapel Drive) and
the chapel is straight ahead.
TO RUTGERS GARDENS LOG CABIN (RECEPTION)
Exit the parking deck by taking a
left onto Lipman Drive, which is a one-way street. The road will turn hard to
the right, then split a couple hundred feet later. Bear left onto College Farm Road.
Turn left at the stop sign at Dudley Road, and follow for about half a mile through
Douglass Campus until you reach a light at Ryders Lane.
Turn
right onto Ryders, almost immediately crossing over Route 1. Take the first
left onto the grounds of Rutgers Gardens, then take two more lefts and a
right to get to the Log Cabin.
